Starlord was a companion comic to 2000AD - printed on slicker paper, with more colour and, crucially, a higher cover price. Back then. 12p was fairly steep for a weekly. It failed to find an audience, and was soon merged with its more popular predecessor. It did, however, spawn two of 2000AD's most enduringly popular strips, Strontium Dog and Ro-Busters.
