Paul Verhoeven's masterpeice was predictably rubbished by critics who were never going to allow him to get away with making an openly erotic maisntream film, but remains a cult favourite. A tasty look at the shallow world of Las Vegas, the movie is a visual treat and boasts stirring performances by Gina gershon and Elizabeth Berkley. Camp, sure... but deliberately so.
