Sheepy - GlumSHEEPY - GLUM
Blang Records

Liverpool’s Sheepy has apparently recorded thirteen albums in the last five years, which suggests quite a remarkable work ethic, if nothing else.

This is, however, the first I’ve heard of him, and Glum turns out to be a bouncy, if unremarkable bit of pop ephemera – there’s a Sixties feel to the track, but it’s a bit of a one-note and rather immediately forgettable affair.

Rather better is B-side Craic Injector, a fuzz-driven, electro based chunk of bounciness that does its best to (as the lyrics say) ‘bring the good times back’. Fast, furious and fun, this is what pop should be.
