Slaughter
is the Best Medicine is a new UK indie
action thriller that is truly zero budget: we’re
not talking under a million, or even under $100,000
– this film was made using equipment owned
by the filmmakers, with an unpaid cast and crew,
and shot in just seven days (spread over a couple
of months). It was edited on a home PC and is
clearly a labour of love for producer/co-writer
Daniel Tee and director/co-writer Rishi Thaker.
The film follows a bunch of mercenaries as they
head out on a capture mission into the woods,
where they are picked off one-by-one. Producer
Tee promises lots of action, gore and shocks.
The completed film is now being pitched at distributors
and festivals, and we’ll hopefully be able
to review it soon. For more information, visit
