If you are anything like me – and I’ll
assume that you are or you wouldn’t be reading
this – then you will either have or desire a
large collection of the sort of fiction that gives
Booker Prize judges an attack of the vapours. Disreputable
genre fiction and other so-called trash that, as we
all know, is more important than any ‘serious’
literature.
If you are looking to expand your collection, you
might be interested in the Paperback and Pulp Bookfair,
taking place in London on October 28th. For just £3,
you can immerse yourself in a world of dealers offering
rare and collectable titles, often at bargain prices.
Strange Things will be there, ferreting
out more magnificent titles to bring you in future
cover galleries.
The event runs from 10am to 4pm at the Victoria Park
Plaza Hotel, 239 Vauxhall Bridge Road, London SW1V
1EQ. More info can be found here: www.zardozbooks.co.uk.
Happy hunting!
