After Lemmy’s public complaints about the recent overpriced, excessively packaged Motorhead box set, a rather more circumspect collection is about to be released. A six CD collection of the band’s classic early albums Overkill, Bomber, Ace of Spades, No Sleep Till Hammersmith, Iron Fist and Another Perfect Day, these are the original masters, packaged in gatefold replica sleeves featuring the original artwork.

If Motorhead isn’t to your taste, then how about Thin Lizzy? Also available is a six-album Lizzy collection featuring Nightlife, Fighting, Jailbreak, Johnny the Fox, Bad Reputation and Black Rose, again in LP-style replica sleeves and housed in a slipcase. Just the thing for the ageing rocker looking for an excuse to replace those battered vinyl editions!
