The Woman
As a taster for the unsavoury delights to come at the main event, Nottingham’s Mayhem festival will be showing Lucky McKee’s contentious new movie The Woman – notoriously for sparking a very vocal walkout at Sundance – on October 7th.

It’s one of several theatrical screenings being held in conjunction with horror film festivals across the country (if any others out there care to tell us about your screenings, we’ll plug you too) in a smart move that might be the future for theatrical distribution of non-mainstream horror films. The film opens this Friday (September 30th), so watch out for it at a cinema near you. If your local cinema has the guts for it, that it!

We might – or might not – have a review of the film for you soon…
