The
Horror Channel unleashes a season of modern British
chillers in April, with TV premieres and special
introductions from the directors.
Heading
the pack is Steven Sheil's notorious Mum
and Dad; condemned by the Daily
Express as 'horror porn' and
a twisted, nasty tale of family life, this warped
little effort plays on April 8th.
A
week later, the acclaimed Tony: London
Serial Killer from director Gerard Johnson
hacks its way across your TV screen, and on the
21st comes Lawrence Gough's impressively bleak
monster movie Salvage.
Finally,
on April 29th, Simon Rumley's The Living
and the Dead, another tale of family
dysfunction rounds out the season.
Each
director has shot an exclusive introduction to
their film, and the Horror Channel will be trailing
the season with promos featuring the ubiquitous
Emily Booth.
If
you are a supporter of British horror - and you
should be, because the genre needs all the help
it can get - this series is a must. Just remember
to buy the DVDs afterwards!
