Manchester’s Grimm Up North – or Grimmfest,
if you wish – returns for a third year at the
beginning of October, with a bunch of movies and guests.
The event starts on the 6th, with the UK premiere
of Retreat, with producer Gary Sinyor
and director Carl Tibbetts in attendance.
On Friday October 7th, Martin Kemp’s Stalker
will be shown, with guests including Kemp, Jane March
and Billy Murray. Also on the 7th, Adele Silva will
discuss her work on another Black and Blue Films production,
the much-anticipated (by us, anyway) Strippers
vs Werewolves.
Lucy Davis will be there to discuss Some Guy
Who Kills People on the 8th, and writer David
Moody will be there on the 9th for a Q&A and book
signing after a screening of The Dead.
Tickets
are £70 (£60 concessions). Each festival
pass holder also gets a goodie bag full of posters,
T-shirts and DVDs, with additional giveaways scattered
throughout the event. Manchester 235 Casino, the official
bar and chill out space, is also offering 20% off
food and drink throughout.
Ticket info and full line-up details are available
here.
