The
news you’ve been waiting for – at least
the news I've been waiting for is here: Birdemic
II: The Resurrection is scheduled to start
production in February!
The sequel to the most entertaining
film of recent years has been long in the planning,
and while director James
Nguyen was adamant that the film would be financed
for millions by a major studio – or at least
by distributors Severin – it seems that this
will once again be a low budget production from Nguyen’s
Moviehead Pictures. This is despite Nguyen apparently
having ditched movie-making for marriage and owning
a sandwich bar in South Korea. Phew!
The film is still scheduled to be shot in 3D, using
Nguyen’s self-built 3D rig, so start stockpiling
aspirin now, and will be shot in Hollywood, with the
famed Labrea Tar Pits playing a major part in the
story, which asks – according to the website
(which you have to visit) – “why
did the eagles and vultures attacked?”,
and may or may not involve zombies (but don't tell
anyone we said that!).
We can’t wait!
