The
only movie awards that Strange Things
even vaguely cares about took place this weekend -
The AVN Awards in Las Vegas.
There
are too many categories to list here - if you want
full details, go to AVN
-
but the awards seemed to confirm the dominance of
parody films right now in the adult industry. The
Best Selling / Renting title of the year was Batman
XXX, which also took awards for Best Supporting
Actor (Evan Stone) and Actress (Lexi Belle) and Best
Screenplay (Axel Braun). BatfXXX: Dark Night,
another
Batman-inspired film also scooped
several awards, including Best Parody (Drama).
Best
Director went to veteran Brad Armstrong for Speed
(which also won Best Feature), and Tom Byron scooped
Best Actor for The Big Lebowski: A XXX Parody.
Female Performer of the Year was Tori Black (pictured)
and Gracie Glam won Best New Starlet, while Riley
Steele won Best Crossover for her work on Piranha
3D.
