Catastrophe is a swirling, driving slice of psychedelia, with a moody edge that gives it a fairly epic feel, while backup track Secret is a less catchy mix of the same elements. Having been chugging along for over a decade, Cynic Guru are immeasurably helped by the addition of lead singer Roland Hartwell’s electric violin (his other band being the Iceland Symphony Orchestra), giving the tracks a grander feel than you’d expect from stuff like this.

You could do worse than give them a listen.
